Using a cookie scoop take the mixed batter and place scoops of it onto the parchment lined cookie baking sheet.

Using a cookie scoop allows me to be able to have cookies that are uniform in size.

Also, using the cookie scoop to spoon out the cookie dough results in a perfectly round cookie once cooked.

Storing Oatmeal Cookies Made With Cake Mix

Oatmeal cookies made with cake mix are a delicious and easy treat to make, but once they’re baked, you’ll need to store them properly to ensure they stay fresh. Here are some tips on how to store your oatmeal cookies made with cake mix:

  1. Allow the Cookies to Cool Completely: Before storing your oatmeal cookies, it’s important to let them cool completely. This will prevent moisture from building up in the container or bag you store them in.
  2. Store Them in an Airtight Container: Once cooled, place your oatmeal cookies in an airtight container like a Tupperware box. This will keep air out and help maintain their freshness.
  3. Use Plastic Wrap: If you don’t have an airtight container, another option is to wrap each cookie individually in plastic wrap before placing them all together in a ziplock bag.
  4. Keep Them at Room Temperature: Oatmeal cookies made with cake mix can be stored at room temperature for up 5-7 days if stored properly.

By following these simple steps, you can enjoy your homemade oatmeal cookies made with cake mix for weeks or even months after baking!

Freezing Oatmeal Cookies

Not everyone can eat an entire batch of oatmeal cookies before they go stale. That’s where freezing comes in.

Freezing oatmeal cookies is a great way to preserve their freshness and taste for a longer time. Here are some tips on how to freeze oatmeal cookies:

  1. Let the cookies cool completely before freezing them.
  2. Place the cooled cookies in an airtight container or freezer bag.
  3. Label the container or bag with the date and type of cookie.
  4. Place the container or bag in the freezer.
  5. To thaw frozen oatmeal cookies, simply remove them from the freezer and let them sit at room temperature for 30-60 minutes before serving.

Freezing oatmeal cookies is also convenient if you want to have fresh-baked treats on hand for unexpected guests or events. You can easily bake a large batch of oatmeal cookies ahead of time and freeze them until you need them.

In addition, freezing oatmeal cookie dough is also an option if you don’t want to bake all of your dough at once. Simply form your cookie dough into balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Freeze the dough balls until solid, then transfer them to an airtight container or freezer bag labeled with the date and type of cookie dough. When you’re ready to bake, simply take out as many frozen dough balls as you need and bake according to the recipe directions.
